Đuro Đaković

Đuro Đaković is a Croatian heavy industrial concern supplying farm equipment, military vehicles, power plant equipment, railway equipment, trams, and steam and diesel locomotives. Now located in Slavonski Brod, Croatia, Đuro Đaković continues to produce military, farm, railway, and other equipment today since 1921.

Combine harvesters were built from 1981-2005 under license from Deutz-Fahr, and to also supply Deutz-Fahr, (later Same Deutz-Fahr). In 2005, Same Deutz-Fahr bought 86% of the combine harvester business and renamed it SDF Harvester, marking Deutz-Fahr's return to the manufacturing of combine harvesters as in the preceding years, all harvesters were built by other manufacturers. The Đuro Đaković name was dropped in favor of Deutz-Fahr.[1]

Locomotives[]

Since 1926, Đuro Đaković constructed various steam locomotives for the Jugoslav State Railways and exports to other countries.

In 1935, the first standard gauge locomotive was constructed.

From 1981 to 1985, Đuro Đaković purchased a licence to build locomotives from General Motors designs to suit their needs. In addition to building the locomotives for their country, Đuro Đaković also exported 20 G22W's to the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways in 1982.
