Allis-Chalmers Lawn & Garden Equipment began in 2009 when Simplicity Manufacturing Company announced plans to rebirth the brand. Simplicity, owned by Briggs & Stratton, had obtained licensing from what remained of the Allis-Chalmers family of companies, Allis-Chalmers Energy in Houston, Texas.[1]
