'Amalgamated Power Engineering was a British engineering company that supplied industrail power plantss and Generator instalations, created by merging several manufacturers in 1968.

The Amalgamated Power Engineering Company Ltd was formed in 1968 as a result of a merger of W. H. Allen, Son and Co and Crossley Brothers and Belliss and Morcom are also part of the group. The parent co of APE was NEI.
In October 1989, NEI were taken over by Rolls-Royce plc
