Blaw-Knox

Blaw-Knox is one of the most prominent manufacturers of road paving equipment in the world. It is currently part of Volvo of Sweden's construction equipment division. After Ingersoll-Rand divested their road making equipment operation's in 2007.[1] Blaw-Know having been a part of this division for several years.
Eventually a maker of highway pavers with factories and offices in many countries, BlawKnox started as a maker of concrete forms made from steel. The company was formed from 2 companies (Blaw and Knox) and eventually was purchased by White Consolidated Industries.
The company designed the distinctive Blaw-Knox tower in the 1930's - a radio transmitter distinguished by its diamond-shaped appearance.

A number of machines fitted with the early Blaw-knox buldozer gear are in preservation.
- A Fowler VF fitted with Blaw-Knox gear appears at several shows including Holcot Steam Rally
- The S.E. Davis & Son Ltd. collection has several International Harvester machines with Blaw-Knox gear in it.
