The Border City Rally is held in the Rey? Park at Carlisle in Cumbria between the A6 and the M6 Motorway, just East of Carlisle city centre (on the north bank of the river). (Just North of Junction 43 on the M6).

The Event started in ?, and has grown steadily since. The event is more a family day out than a Steam fair with a wide range of entertainment to keep all interests entertained. This events Main 'Feature event' in 2010 was the Stuntman display team in the arena with car jumping, wall of fire and high fall stunts.

Tractors[]

A range of tractors from the 1930s, to 1980s County usedin the workinf area sawmill demonstration area. A section of the tractors will be added later, with the best examples added to the Model listing pages. Unfortunately like many events the exhibits began to disappear by mid afternoon after they had had a parade in the ring.

Commercial vehicles[]

A selection of commercial vehicles from the early 1920s to modern 1990s trucks were exhibited. Featuring Albion to Scammell and truck racing specials.

Stationary engines[]

The stationary engines are demonstrated driving water pumps, corn mills, generators, milking machines and similar machinery that they would have worked on farms before electric power from the grid arrived.

Classic Cars[]

A varied collection of classic cars were on display mainly from from the 50-70s.

A number of local car clubs also had displays.

Classic Motor Cycles[]

A number of classic motorbikes from the 1920s to the 1980s were also presented.

Classic Bicycles[]

A section of Bicycles were on display from a Boneshaker from the 1870s to several classic Raleigh models from the 1950s.

Special display[]

A collection of restored aero engines some of which were built locally were demonstrated for short periods during the day.
