Model history[]
The County 1884 was launched in 1980 based on the Ford TW-30 skid unit which had a 188 hp (140 kW) Ford engine. This model was to range topper for County. Other new models were upgrades, of lower-powered models to use revised skid units.

Preservation[]
The Model is very sought after by collectors as one of the must have models for a set of county tractors. A few examples are still at work & several tractors originally exported have been reimported into the UK and Ireland by collectors.
- It is believed that only about 24 exist today. Examples are known to be in New Zealand (still working) & Belgium.
