The Crawley Agrimotor was built in Essex in the early 20th century. Around 1913 the Crawley brothers from Saffron Walden, Essex designed a motor plough. The first three were built by Garretts of Leiston, Suffolk over the next couple of years.
The brothers subsequently opened their own factory, to produced a series of motor ploughs and the three-wheeled 'Agrimotor' vehicles. The factory remained in operation for around a decade till the firm shut in the 1920s depression with many other firms.
