The Ford 8N was built by Ford from 1947 to 1952 in the USA. It features a 24 hp (18 kW) engine.

Model History[]

For Company history see
Main article: Fordson

The Ford 8N was built to get Ford out of the Patent infringement problem that the Ford 2N had following the split from the Harry Ferguson JV. Were Ferguson accused Ford of using his Three-point Linkage system without permission, following the break down of there JV to build/market the Ford-Ferguson/Ford 9N model. This followed Fergusons earlier split with form partner David Brown in the UK over the JV to build the Ferguson-Brown Model A tractor. Ferguson then set up his own company in the uk to sell Ferguson tractors, built by the Standard Motor Company at Coventry.
