Model History
Edit
- For Company history see
- Main article: International Harvester
The 10th anniversary line of Cub Cadets introduced in late-1971 looked about the same as previous models but underneath was a new, wider, frame for easier mounting of engines and other components. The 14-hp hydrostatic International Cub Cadet 149 replaced the 147. The 149 kept the black bands on the hood sides with the "Cub Cadet" script and model number but a blue pinstripe distinguished the 149 from other models.
