The Komatsu D475 is the second largest bulldozer in the Komatsu line, after only the massive D575.[citation (source) needed] The current version is the D475A-5, which has an operational weight of 103 tonnes and has an 860 hp (640 kW) powerplant. There are several different versions that are used in quarries, mines and construction sites all over the world. The D475A was introduced in 1986 as a replacement for the 650hp D455A. In 1986 it was 740hp. To help publicize it Komatsu displayed a D475 at Conexpo 87 from February 21-26 1987. Currently Oxford Mining has one in New Athens,Ohio working in a coal mine there.[citation (source) needed]
