KUHN, based in Saverne (France), is a manufacturer of various types of agricultural machinery with around 3,000 employees.

HistoryEdit

The company was founded in 1828 by Joseph Kuhn, and in 1864 started the production of agricultural machinery.

After the Second World War in 1946 the company was aquired by the Swiss group Bucher Industries.

In 1987, the agricultural machinery manufacturer Huard (easily confused with Howard) was integrated. Huard had specialized in direct seeding, plows and disc harrows. Audureau 1993 was bought. She had specialized in the areas of food production and removal of syringes. In 1996, the merger with Nodet follows: Drills and trailed sprayers were produced here. Manure spreaders and feed mixers more models added to the product line up from 2002 through the acquisition of Knight Manufacturing Corporation. Back in 2005, followed by the acquisition of Brazilian company METASA S / A, which is on the market of cotton, corn and soybean planting concentrated. 2008 of the syringe manufacturer Blanchard was taken. Around 2009 saw the purchase of the press division of Kverneland . This was in the Dutch Geldrop produced and acquired for a purchase price of EUR 115 million.
