The McCormick-Deering WD-40 was built by International Harvester from 1935 to 1940.

Model historyEdit

For company history see main International Harvester article.

The gasoline/kerosene-powered McCormick-Deering WA-40 wheatland-style standard-tread tractor replaced the McCormick-Deering 15-30 (22-36). The same basic tractor was also built with a 461 ci diesel engine as the McCormick-Deering WD-40. The WD-40 was the first diesel-powered wheel tractor manufactured in the USA. Similar industrial models were the McCormick-Deering IA-40 and ID-40 and International IK-40 and ID-40.
