- Rubens maskinhistoriska samlingar The Rubens Historical Machinery Collection is an extensive private collection of interesting veteran and vintage machinery. The collection contains mostly power producing machinery such as steam engines or internal combustion engines of various kinds. Also associated working equipment, vehicles, vintage tractors, tools and various kinds of road maintenance machinery. The collection mostly covers the period of 1860-1950.

Norway
Konnerud Hill Mines
Ordinary mining operation was first started in 1729 by the Limited Company "Det jarlsbergske Sølvhaltige Blye- og Kobberværk". (The Jarlsbergske Silver, Lead and Copper Mine). The mining operation has been through several periods of time up to the final closedown in 1913.
The Museum The Museum is based at the lower level of the Mines at "Vaskeriet" and the lower Tunnel called "Kontaktstollen". In the Museum there will be displayed sections of the History from the different periods of mining operation together with mining equipment from other Mining activity in Norway.
Tours in the Mine At the lower entrance, level "Kontaktstollen" it is possible to get 700 meter inside. At this level it is possible to see the operation from the last period 1905 - 1913 with shafts, loadingstations and shafts with ladders. On level "Hovedstollen" (upper level) or "Wedels eies stoll" is it possible to see the operation from 1730 - 1770 with shafts, halls and tunnels made by fire of wood. Guided tours in these areas will contain technical details about the old mining industry and you will be able to experience the working conditions of those who once worked there.
The Mining Parkland at "Vaskeriet" From "Theys stoll" and the Parkingplace the Railway will bring you on to the Mining parkland "Vaskeriet" and futher on 500 meter in to "Konnerudgubbens Hall" at the same track as in 1912. The mining park surrounding the Museum offers all kind of experiences, both historical and geological and public foothpaths in the area, also up to upper level of the mines.
at the museum, we now have 30 locomotives and 110 mine cars of various types and sizes, locomotives from 1927 to 1989 models.
