The National Tractor Show is held in November at the East of England Show Ground at Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
This event is one of the last big tractor shows of the year. The event usually has a featured marque for each year. With displays from local clubs and private collectors from around the country. A number of trade exhibitors have on offer original and reproduction parts & accessories for most makes of tractor.
For 2008 the event had the new Events hall as well as the usual cattle sheds. The new facility is a vast improvement on the older halls but was not used to its best advantage, being used mainly for the trade stands, with just the Ford and Fordson Association and Friends of Ferguson plus a couple of dealer tractor displays in the main hall. The majority of tractors being displayed in the Stock sheds which were poor lighting.
An interesting display in the new hall was the Perkins engines exhibition.
A larger selection of the tractors & machinery on display in 2008 will be added later. (You can add your photos from the event of your selection of the best or most unusual exhibits on display here as well.)
The 2009 show has been cancelled due to the recession / a clash of dates with the Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show which is held a few miles up the A1. (reason depends on which press report you read)
