Schindler is a Swiss engineering company that builds axles used by other manufacturers, but is best known as a Lift (Elevator) builder. It was founded in 1874 by Roger Schindler. In the 1970s, Schindler bought Turin, Italy based Selene, which manufactured front wheel assist axles for tractors.
