The firm of Simba was founded in 1976 when Keith Burton identified a growing market for equipment to suit large (300hp+) tractors entering the UK.

HistoryEdit

The Company has rapidly developed, and its products gained a strong reputation within the local market, with development work often involving the farmers to obtain a machine that suits there needs.

Simba took advantage of opportunities like the introduction of the straw burning ban and expanded in the UK market as a result. The Company has now developed exports gaining a strong presence in Europe, the Middle East, and even as far as Australia and New Zealand. Sales have also been made in Japan and the USA.

In 1999 Simba's and Horsch Maschinen GmbH a German Company with a very similar ethos entered into a reciprocal trade agreement to market their complimentary product ranges. At the time Simba's drill range was coming to the end of its commercial life and the Horsch drills range were seen as a suitable replacement to this ageing product.

By 2005 Simba had grown to be a major force in the UK cultivation and drill market. New Simba products targeted at 80 - 100hp tractors open up further opportunities in the UK.

The main manufacturing facility is at the Headquarters in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. But the company also has manufacturing facilities in Portugal and Hungary.
