Simit (in italian the abbrevation of Società Italiana Macchine Industriali Torino,) is a Italian industry founded by Mario Bruneri at 1965 in Turin to produce excavators. The first models are like Yumbo. Mario Bruneri has improved the models, for example, with the addition of the triple articulated boom and dipper arm divised.

Mario Bruneri has sold his industry at Fiat in 1972.

During the biennium 1972 - 1974 when Fiatallis has been created, the excavators were marketed as Fiat prod. Simit ( Fiat produce by Simit).
