WABCO was the brand & Operating company name used by the Westinghouse Air Brake Company of Pennsylvania, USA. The company manufactured a wide range of items in addition to the Air Brake for trains and motor vehicles that the company founder had invented.

The company took over the earth-moving division of LeTourneau Inc. the inventor of the Motor scraper in 1953. They paid $31 million USD for 3 manufacturing plants and the intellectual property related to the earth-moving machinery. The division was operated as the LeTourneau-Westinghouse Company.
LeTourneau Inc. was not to make earthmoving equipment or compete for 5 years as part of the deal.
